Christmas Cookie Favorites of Hadley Collectors

November 27, 2011

This week we launched a holiday giveaway program on our Facebook page; we’re going to give away a Hadley holiday item and other goodies every week this month. The first week’s giveaway was one of our adorable new Goodies Plates, accompanied by 2 boxes of Paula Deen’s Chocolate Marsh Mud cookies…yum!

To be entered into the contest, all you had to do was tell us your favorite cookie to bake for Christmas. We got LOTS of entries, and here are the three favorites of Hadley holiday bakers:

1.  Iced Sugar Cookies.  No big surprise here, everybody loves sugar cookies, and nothing is as festively sweet as those decorated in darling shapes and colors, right?  If you’re looking for a little inspiration for your holiday sugar cookies, might we suggest you log in to Pinterest and search for “Christmas Sugar Cookies…”  That’s where we found this amazing recipe from Glorious Treats blog and the beautiful designs that went with it (these are just a few of the amazing photos

2.  Chocolate Chip Cookies.  My personal favorite.  Everyone has at least one favorite recipe or special touch for chocolate chip cookies (personally, I rely on the old standard Tollhouse recipe), so we won’t even try to pretend we’ve got one better than yours, but we did think you might find these Secrets to the Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie helpful, which came from chefs and bakery owners in NYC.

3.  Snickerdoodles.  Yum!  Again, we went to Pinterest and found plenty of snickerdoodle recipes, but especially liked this idea for a Snickerdoodle Sandwich Cookie, a new twist on an old classic for this holiday season, from our friends at Better Homes and Gardens.

Whatever you’re baking, you can’t go wrong if your cookies are served on Hadley stoneware.  This year, we’ve introduced the Goodies Plate in two great sizes: the 11″ plate is perfect for showcasing and serving your masterpieces at home, and the 8″ plate, which makes the perfect (and perfectly affordable) gift idea, with a sampling of your home-baked goodies to go with it.

On Cyber Monday (11/28), you can save 15% on both Goodies Plates and ALL of Hadley’s 2011 Christmas items when you shop online.  Just make a an online purchase of holiday items and then enter the discount code: “holiday” in the box marked Discount Code during the first step of the checkout process.
